Application submitted

In line with current UK planning requirements, our 'Planning Application' to construct a 2 storey extension to the side of our property was submitted today through the Planning Portal. This was a relatively quick and painless procedure that can be undertaken by any householder wanting to extend their property. The fee was £206.

Obviousley there are certain requirements your local authority will stipulate for extensions. Ours is that the extension has to be set back from the front face of the original structure to prevent a terracng effect. Also there has to be an access between the extension and the neighbouring property, suitable to allow maintenance.
